The thought of Italy evokes a sense of calmness to my being. Italy is a country filled with life. The array of different personas is loud, colourful, passionate, warm and inviting. In contrast to that it is the simple things, which bring a feeling of calm over me.
For the first time in many years, I am not escaping the winter chill to travel to Italy. Health complications have meant I need to stay put, but I can still reminisce on the special places that fill my soul with joy. The small seaside town of Sorrento, overlooking the Bay of Naples, is one such special place that warms my heart.
Sorrento is a magical place in my eyes. I have been there more times than I can count and it never ceases to amaze me. Each visit has revealed new hidden treasures including what I like to call the “Secret Gardens of Sorrento”. This year I won’t get the opportunity to discover more of these wonders however I have put together a video to share with you. My wish is to warm your heart though Melbourne’s wonderful winter.
